UPMC Health System retained Oxford Development Company to provide services for the coordination of the development, design, and construction of their New Medical Campus. As agent to UPMC, Oxford was responsible for ensuring that every aspect of the development process, from conception through design, to public and agency approval, was professionally and cost-effectively managed to meet the precise needs of UPMC.

The 950,000 SF Clinical Services Building includes:

  • A 12 story structure with a feature atrium space and three levels below grade which includes parking
  • A heliport including a parking pad and flight deck located on the roof of the hospital
  • 296 inpatient beds, a radiation oncology clinic, a full imaging suite, 13 OR’s and 3 level-1 trauma bays
  • The lower level includes 30,000 SF of laboratory space to serve the hospital’s on-site needs
  • Four specialized pharmacy spaces are configured with laboratory grade environmental conditions
  • 251 space mid-campus garage

The 150,000 SF Faculty Pavilion includes:

  • $16M renovation of an eight-story building from inpatient psychiatric unit to Class A office space to house medical faculty and staff
  • Direct connection to Clinical Services Building
  • 800 space staff garage

The 75,000 SF Administrative Office Building includes:

  • $8M renovation of a six-story Class A office building
  • Occupancy for hospital executive & administrative staff
